Online Classes- forwarded email

29 Mar 2020 by Kayla Van Vlack Romine

Dear Yanarella Family,

We hope you are all in good health. As of Monday, March 30, 2020 we will be switching to virtual classes for the time being, until we can get back into the studio. We will utilize two programs—Zoom and Google Classroom—to accomplish this. Zoom will be used to livestream classes and offer real-time instruction on technique and choreography. Google Classroom will host links to your live class, and videos will be posted on the platform a day or two after each session is over (in case you were unable to attend.)

Find attached a list of class levels with corresponding Google Classroom access codes(click the picture). To start, make sure you have a gmail account. If your account is already linked to your school or work Google Classroom you will need a separate email address. Next, download the Google Classroom app. Once downloaded select “join a class” and type in your respective access code. Here you will find a schedule of classes and links to their streams. Finally, download Zoom and join in the session when your class is live. Please note that some classes and levels have been combined for the time being.

Feel free to email back or reach out on Facebook with any questions you may have regarding the use of these programs and we will attempt to answer them to the best of our abilities.

In this time of isolation and social distancing we are looking forward to being united with you online through a shared love of Dance. We urge that you please stay home and stay safe.

Sincerely,

Angela Van Vlack
Director
